Mother of four killed over salad

Last week, a Nevada mother of four, Mallory Angel Armijo, was tragically killed by a cashier at a convenience store when she unlawfully took a salad as she did not have the money to buy it. According to an interview with her sister, Rachel Wright, Armijo and the cashier got into an argument outside of the store. Wright alleges that a man stepped in and told the cashier to get off of her, then Armijo was shot three times in the back as she attempted to walk away. She subsequently died at Sunrise Hospital.

Wright expressed her disbelief at the tragedy, stating that Armijo was a good person and didn’t deserve what she got. She further revealed that the cashier had a criminal background and had allegedly committed previous offenses, such as throwing hot water on someone and wrestling a woman in the parking lot. In spite of this, he was still employed at the store.

The family is “broken” by the sudden loss, but are determined to honor her legacy by caring for her children. Wright also expressed gratitude to those who have come to remember Armijo, saying that she was a happy, loving soul who always forgave people.
