Actor Jamie Foxx has health scare, hospitalized

Jamie Foxx, an actor and musician, celebrated his 55th birthday last December. This week, however, Foxx experienced a health issue, which was announced in a statement from his daughter Corinne.

Although the statement did not provide any details about the issue, it did say that Foxx was on the path to recovery. Corinne wrote on social media, “From the Foxx Family: We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family.”

Following the statement, Jamie Foxx’s Instagram page was flooded with comments from people wishing the celebrity well and expressing that they were praying for him. According to CNN, there was a source who stated Foxx was hospitalized in Georgia.

Foxx won an Oscar for his role playing Ray Charles in the 2004 movie “Ray”, and was nominated for an Oscar for his supporting role in the 2004 movie “Collateral”. Additionally, Foxx played Electro in two “Spider-Man” films, including the 2014 film “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” and the 2021 movie “Spider-Man: No Way Home”.
