A middle school vice principal in Florida has been arrested following allegations of inappropriate conduct with a 13-year-old student. The vice principal, Dr. Keiva Lark, 53, is accused of making the student massage her feet while she was disciplining him in her office at Lake Marion Creek Middle School in Brevard County. The incident reportedly occurred after the student threw a paper ball across the classroom during a test.
According to the police, two witnesses and the victim reported that Lark removed her shoes, placed her legs on the student’s lap, and instructed him to massage her feet. She allegedly told the student that he had nothing better to do with his hands. Lark is also accused of reprimanding the student for not massaging her feet to her satisfaction and demonstrating how she preferred to be massaged by touching the student’s arm and shoulder.
Witnesses further allege that Lark instructed the student to massage her feet “as if he loved her.” She reportedly told the student that she was teaching him how to give a massage so he would understand what foreplay is when he gets a girlfriend. Lark also allegedly referred to the student as “Sexy Chocolate” in the school hallway.
Days after the incident, Lark reportedly confessed to a colleague that she had “crossed the line.” The school principal was informed of the incident on April 4 and subsequently notified the police, who initiated an investigation.
During the investigation, Lark admitted to the police that her actions as an assistant principal were inappropriate. However, she denied making any inappropriate comments to the student. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd criticized Lark’s behavior, stating that it was entirely inappropriate for a 53-year-old woman to behave and speak in such a manner to a middle school boy, especially considering her position as an assistant principal.
Lark has been charged with lewd conduct and a lewd offense against a student by an authority figure. She is currently on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
