Kayak Tour Guide Arrested for Murder at Resort

A 33-year-old kayak tour guide, Dylan Lamb, was taken into custody in the Florida Keys after he was accused of murdering a woman at a Key Largo resort and concealing her body in his room. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reported that Lamb allegedly killed 43-year-old Nadyne Marie Tillman over the weekend, after they had just met on Saturday morning at the Amoray Dive Resort in Key Largo, Florida.

Tillman’s body was discovered concealed in Lamb’s room, with injuries indicative of a violent assault. Tillman’s family had reported her missing after they lost contact with her since Saturday morning, which was unusual for her. The authorities discovered Tillman’s body on Monday morning in Lamb’s room at the resort. Tillman, a mother of several children, often shared about her family on social media.

According to a law enforcement source cited by the Miami Herald, cleaning staff found blood-stained and dirty sheets in trash bags in Lamb’s room after he checked out, but the police were not alerted. Lamb initially resisted leaving his hotel room. Tillman’s body was reportedly found in a crawl space within the hotel room’s air-conditioning closet. The source mentioned that new guests carried on with their vacation without noticing the body.

Lamb, who had pleaded guilty to grand theft auto in October and was sentenced to one year of probation, was charged with homicide, false imprisonment, destroying evidence, and procuring for a prostitute, according to online records.

Ka Thigpen, whose mother was staying in the hotel room next to Lamb’s for her wedding, told NBC Miami that her mother saw Lamb and Tillman’s daughter, who was searching for her mother at the resort. Tillman’s phone indicated that she was at the resort. Thigpen expressed her fear and shock, emphasizing the unpredictability of encounters with strangers.

Monroe County Sheriff Rick Ramsay stated that no other individuals seem to be involved in the incident. He expressed his gratitude to the Sheriff’s Office staff for their round-the-clock efforts leading to an arrest in the case. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office declined to provide additional information when contacted by Fox News Digital. Lamb’s arraignment is set for April 13.
