Unidentified Body Found on Trail Where Woman Went Missing

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office in Maryland is currently investigating a case involving a woman who disappeared on a local hiking trail over the weekend. Rachel Morin, 37, was last seen on Saturday evening around 6 p.m. as she set off on the Ma and Pa Trail in Bel Air.

The following morning, authorities found Morin’s car near the trail’s entrance on Williams Street. A thorough search of the area led to a grim discovery at 1:07 p.m. – a deceased woman. The identity of the body, as well as the cause and manner of death, are yet to be confirmed, according to the sheriff’s office.

The investigation is ongoing, with officials continuing to search the trail and working on identifying the body found at the scene. The discovery came shortly after the sheriff’s office had described the search for Morin as “very active.”

Morin is described as a petite woman, standing at 5’2″ and weighing 107 pounds. She has blond hair and blue eyes. When she left her home for the hike, she was wearing a dark tank top, black sports bra, black spandex shorts, and gray sneakers.

The Ma and Pa Trail, located in the heart of Bel Air, about 46 miles northeast of Baltimore, is the focus of the investigation. Detectives are appealing to anyone who was on the trail over the weekend to report any suspicious activity they may have noticed.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office has not yet responded to requests for additional comments on the case.
