‘This is crazy’: 5 dead, found in home by police

On Friday morning, five people were tragically found dead in the 14800 block of NW 87th Court in Miami-Dade, Florida. Police believe the tragedy to be a murder-suicide, with one of the males responsible for the incident.

When uniform officers from the Town of Miami Lakes district arrived to the residence after a welfare check was requested, they entered the home through a rear of the house and found five people suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue declared the people dead on the scene. In the bedroom, one of the men was found with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Family members identified two of the victims at the scene,Yohanka Aguilar, 54, and her son Dhany Aguilar, 34. The other two were a pair of adult siblings and another 58-year-old woman who had just recently moved from Cuba to South Florida.

A local resident stated the surprise of the incident, saying “never anything happens like this, this is crazy, out of the ordinary.” Police did not provide more information on Monday when reporters reached out.
