An Amber Alert has been activated for a 16-year-old girl, Sky Miller, who disappeared from Northwest Harris County. Authorities suspect she may be in the company of 22-year-old Nathaniel Young, who was last spotted driving a black Kia Forte with South Carolina license plates 317 BIA.
Sky’s parents have expressed grave concern for her safety. Surveillance footage has shown her in the company of Young at a local park before she entered his vehicle. The family is worried about her well-being as she has not been seen since the previous day.
According to Sky’s mother, Sarah Miller, Sky and Young initially connected online via a social media platform. Sky, concerned about Young’s circumstances as he was reportedly homeless, offered him food, water, and hygiene products. This act of kindness led to their in-person meeting.
Sarah Miller was able to access Sky’s online accounts and found their conversation on Discord. She reached out to Young’s mother through social media, who confirmed that her son had met Sky but insisted that he had left her at the park.
However, inconsistencies in Young’s story have raised red flags. He initially told his mother that he had left Sky at the park, but later changed his story, claiming they had taken a brief car ride before he dropped her off at home. This claim is disputed by the Miller family.
Young’s mother was able to provide his last known location in the Sam Houston National Forest. Sky’s parents have reported her disappearance to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office, which is currently searching for Young.
Sky had plans to visit a college the day following her disappearance, suggesting she had no plans to run away. She left home without money, her ID, or any personal items, except for the items she had planned to give to Young.
The Miller family is coordinating a search party to scour the national forest in hopes of finding any sign of their daughter. Authorities are urging anyone with information to reach out to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office.
