Teen Sentenced After Brutally Killing Mother With Bare Hands
A 19-year-old man from Texas, Tyler Roenz, has been sentenced to 40 years in a state correctional facility for the murder of his mother, Michelle Roenz, in 2022. The sentence was handed down by Harris County District Court Judge Hillary Unger. In addition to the murder charge, Roenz also pleaded guilty to felony tampering with evidence, for which he received a 20-year sentence. The sentences will run concurrently.
