5-Year-Old Boy Found Foaming at the Mouth, Dies

A tragic incident unfolded in the Bronx early Sunday when a 5-year-old boy was discovered unconscious and foaming at the mouth in a squalid apartment, mere steps away from a hospital. The boy, identified as Deneil Timberlake, was found in the early hours of the morning in a walk-up building on Bassford Avenue, near East 183rd Street in Belmont, according to law enforcement officials.

The boy’s father reported to the police that he had put Deneil to bed around 10 p.m. and later woke up to find his son unresponsive. Authorities have stated that there were no visible signs of trauma on the child.

Emergency medical personnel quickly transported Timberlake to St. Barnabas Hospital, located just two blocks away. Despite their best efforts, doctors at the hospital pronounced the young boy dead.

The circumstances surrounding the boy’s death remain unclear. The city’s medical examiner is currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause of death.

Further complicating the case, it has been revealed that the family had previous interactions with the city’s Administration for Children’s Services. The nature and extent of these interactions have not been disclosed at this time.

This tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, raising questions about child safety and the effectiveness of social services in preventing such incidents. As the investigation continues, the community awaits answers about the circumstances that led to the untimely death of this young boy.
