2 Dead, 28 injured after mass shooting in Baltimore

On Sunday morning, police confirmed a mass shooting in the 800 block of Gretna Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland. Emergency personnel and the Acting Police Commissioner Richard Worley were present at the scene.

The Baltimore Police Department reported that two people have died and 28 have been injured as a result of the shooting, with nine of those individuals being taken to local hospitals and three of them in critical condition.

When police arrived at the scene, they found one female dead and nine people with gunshot wounds. Reports from WBFF-TV stated that there were multiple fatalities and numerous injuries in the Brooklyn Homes area of South Baltimore. Many police officers and EMTs were located in the area.

Information available suggested that a large crowd had gathered at the location for an event known as “Brooklyn Day.” This is an ongoing story and police will hold a press conference in the morning at the intersection of 6th Street and Audrey Avenue with additional updates.
