Young TikToker claims to be “too pretty” to work a 9-5 job

Young social media influencer gives up full-time employment, saying she’s “too pretty” to work a 9-to-5 job. In her car, Lucy Welcher, an 80,000-follower TikTok user, drank iced coffee from Starbucks while making the statement. She told her followers that working was a “scam” in the viral video, which got more than 70,000 views.

Lucy then asked, “Does it look like I want to get up at 6 a.m. every f**king day for the next 60 years?”

“No! I’m too pretty for that!” Lucy said, before taking a sip of her iced coffee.

It wasn’t long before viewers contributed their own thoughts – with many labeling the self-confident content creator as “lazy” and “entitled.”

“Try waking up at 4am every day working 60 hours a week,” complained one critic.

“Someone’s entitled,” said another. “I hope you get humbled girl, you need it. Looks have to nothing to do with working and it’s sad you have that mentality.”

Meanwhile, a third bluntly retorted: “How about trying to be an adult instead of a privileged princess expecting life to be handed to you?”

While plenty of viewers took issue with the influencer’s statement, there were also plenty who agreed.

One male admirer offered the TikToker a way out of full-time work, writing: “You can be my housewife I make six figures a year just make sure the house is clean and food is on the table.”

Lucy has recently revealed she received a promotion at her job, but it is unclear where she works.

“I’m starting a new position at my job today, so instead of folding towels, I’m going to be on the desk,” she announced.

“I’m very nervous to start on the desk, because although I may look very beautiful, smart and talented, I’m not actually smart at all,” the TikToker confessed.

A few days later, she commented that her remarks were merely a “joke”.
