Gadot, who was eight months pregnant with her daughter Ori at the time, was diagnosed with a substantial blood clot in her brain. She disclosed this information in a heartfelt Instagram post, detailing the severe headaches she had been enduring for weeks prior to the diagnosis.
The health crisis occurred in February, during the final stages of Gadot’s pregnancy. The intensity of the headaches was such that she was confined to her bed until an MRI scan identified the cause. The revelation of the blood clot was a frightening experience for Gadot, who was already navigating a challenging year.
Following the diagnosis, Gadot was immediately rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery. Amid the fear and uncertainty, her daughter Ori was born. Gadot, who is married to Jaron Varsano, expressed that the ordeal served as a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the rapidity with which circumstances can alter.
Gadot, who also featured in “Red Notice,” expressed her gratitude for the medical team at Cedars-Sinai who supported her during this critical period. She attributes her successful recovery to their efforts. Today, she is fully recovered and filled with gratitude for the life she has been able to reclaim.
The actress also revealed the significance of her daughter’s name. Ori, which translates to “my light” in Hebrew, was chosen with intention. Prior to the surgery, Gadot expressed to her husband that their daughter would represent the light at the end of the tunnel for her.
