Woman Fatally Shot by Boyfriend in Front of Children

In a tragic incident, a Missouri City woman was fatally shot by her boyfriend in front of her three young daughters, according to statements from the victim’s family and local law enforcement. The victim, identified as 38-year-old Jameka Williams, was preparing for a night out when the incident occurred. The suspect, who is also the father of two of Williams’ four children, has not been seen since the incident.

The victim’s 14-year-old daughter, in a state of shock, reached out to her aunt immediately after the shooting. The aunt, Jaterra Williams, shared the heartbreaking call with the media, stating that the young girl told her, “My daddy just killed my momma.” The traumatic event has left the children with a horrifying last memory of their mother.

The suspect, who has not been publicly named by the police, reportedly fled the scene in his car. The authorities have confirmed that a dispute between the couple preceded the fatal shooting. The victim’s family revealed that the couple had a tumultuous relationship, dating intermittently since high school, but had recently separated.

According to Jaterra, the suspect became enraged when he saw Jameka preparing to go out with friends. He allegedly told her, “You’re not going anywhere. Today is the day,” before pulling out a gun and shooting her. The couple’s three daughters, aged 14, 12, and 7, were present during the incident. The only child who did not witness the crime was Williams’ 18-year-old son.

The victim’s son, Jayden Williams, expressed his grief over the loss of his mother, who had been looking forward to his graduation. “It’s supposed to be me and her year. She always talked about my prom, coming to my games and watching me walk that stage as a senior. I’m not just a senior but a senior with honors,” he said.

As of Monday, the Houston Police Department confirmed that no arrests have been made in the case, causing concern for the safety of Williams’ family. In response to the tragedy, the victim’s loved ones have initiated a social media campaign using the hashtag #JusticeforJameka, aiming to raise awareness about the brutal crime and to aid in the search for the suspect.

Williams’ cousin, Elisia Williams, expressed her outrage on Facebook, criticizing the suspect for committing such a heinous act in front of his own children. Friends and family continue to mourn Jameka’s loss, praying for justice to be served in her name.
