Two Women Missing After Leaving to Pick Up Children

Two Kansas women, Veronica Butler, 27, and Jilian Kelley, 39, disappeared under suspicious circumstances over the weekend while en route to Oklahoma to collect children. Their vehicle was found abandoned in a rural area, leading authorities to suspect foul play. The last known contact with the women was on Saturday morning, and they failed to arrive at their intended destination in Eva, Oklahoma. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) has expressed concern for their safety.

The women’s vehicle was discovered near the intersection of Highway 95 and Road L in Texas County, Oklahoma, as per the OSBI. Despite the ongoing investigation, no arrests have been made thus far. The authorities have not disclosed the relationship between the two women, only stating that both are Kansas residents. It remains unclear who has taken custody of the children they were supposed to pick up.

A missing person’s poster provides further details about the women. Butler is described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall, with red hair and green eyes. She was last seen in a blue short-sleeved shirt, denim shorts, and Heydude shoes. She has several tattoos, including a Chinese symbol on her left forearm and a sunflower on her left shoulder. Kelley, on the other hand, has brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen in whitewashed blue jeans, a long-sleeved shirt, and tan shoes. She has a butterfly tattoo on her left forearm.

Kelley is married to a minister and is the sister-in-law of a church member, as revealed by a Facebook post from the McCook Christian Church in Nebraska, located near the Kansas border. The post requested prayers for the safe return of the women, stating, “God please bring these women home to their families that are so worried about them.”

The disappearance of the two women has left their community in shock and concern, with many hoping for their safe return. As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
