Three individuals, including a mother, were apprehended last week in Ohio following a pit bull attack on her 6-year-old son. The child, whose hands and feet were reportedly bound at the time of the incident, was severely injured, sustaining bites to his neck and ear. The attack occurred on August 17, around 5 p.m., and the boy was subsequently airlifted to a hospital in serious condition, according to the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon investigation, the sheriff’s office discovered that the boy was restrained when the dog attacked him. A search warrant executed at the Savannah residence where the incident took place led to the arrest of the boy’s mother, Angelina Williams, and Robert Michalski Jr., believed to be the boy’s great uncle, on August 19.
The boy’s grandmother, who was present during the incident, expressed her shock and horror at seeing her grandson handcuffed. She attempted to intervene and was slightly injured in the process.
Williams, a Cleveland resident, was living in the house with a relative of Michalski, who was the owner of both the house and the dog. The third individual arrested was Taylor Desiree Marvin-Brown, Williams’ boyfriend, who is alleged to have assisted in restraining the boy.
Following the incident, Michalski and his dog reportedly fled the scene but returned later. The dog was subsequently seized by law enforcement. Michalski was found hiding in an upstairs cubby hole in the house with the dog before he was taken into custody.
Williams faces charges of endangering children, while Michalski is charged with endangering children and tampering with evidence. Marvin-Brown is reportedly facing charges of endangering children and obstruction of justice.
