Robert De Niro’s grandson dies at age 19

Robert De Niro’s family announced with great sadness that their beloved grandson, Leandro Anthony De Niro-Rodriguez, had passed away at the age of 19.

The New York City Police Department reported that De Niro-Rodriguez was found unconscious at 2:20 p.m. on Sunday at 55 Wall St. in Lower Manhattan and was pronounced dead at the scene. The exact cause of death is still unknown, and the office of the Chief Medical Examiner could not be reached for comment.

In a statement, De Niro expressed his profound distress and requested that the family be granted privacy as they grieve. Similarly, Drena De Niro, the mother of De Niro-Rodriguez, said that they were saying goodbye to their son Leo with immeasurable shock and sadness. On Instagram, she posted a tribute to her son, calling him her beautiful sweet angel.

Celebrities sent their condolences to the family, with Andy Cohen and Rosie Perez commenting on Drena’s post. Victoria Gotti shared memories of De Niro-Rodriguez from when he was young, expressing her sadness that his life had been cut short.

According to his IMDB page, De Niro-Rodriguez had acted in films such as “A Star Is Born” and “Cabaret Maxime”. Robert De Niro had welcomed his seventh child in May this year.
