NFL Player Shot After Leaving Strip Club

The Denver Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into a shooting incident involving Josh Reynolds, a wide receiver for the Denver Broncos. Reynolds was injured in the incident, which transpired last week after he and two other individuals exited a local adult entertainment club. The assault took place in the early morning hours of Friday as the trio was leaving the establishment in a vehicle.

Responding to multiple emergency calls, the police found that Reynolds, 29, had been shot twice, sustaining injuries to the back of his head and his left arm. Another individual in the vehicle was also shot in the back, while the third person was injured by shattered glass. The trio was in a blue Ford Bronco at the time of the assault.

The incident took place after the men exited Shotgun Willie’s, a notorious adult entertainment club situated in the Denver suburbs. The club has previously made headlines when NBA player Ja Morant was spotted with a firearm during a live stream from one of the club’s rooms.

Court records indicate that Reynolds and his companions did not engage in any disputes while inside the club. However, they noticed several vehicles tailing them as they exited the club and entered the highway, leading to the subsequent attack. Denver police have since apprehended two individuals, Burr Charlesworth and Luis Mendoza, in relation to the shooting.

Surveillance footage revealed Mendoza’s car trailing the victims’ vehicle closely. During interrogation, Charlesworth confessed that he was contracted to assist a friend who had a disagreement with the victims and was instructed to tail them.

Reynolds has been a significant contributor to his team this season, with 12 catches for 183 yards and one touchdown. His absence was noticeable in last Thursday’s game against the Saints, as he was placed on the injury reserve list due to a finger injury.

The Broncos issued an official statement confirming that Reynolds was “a victim of a shooting” and had received medical attention for his injuries. The team also expressed their respect for the ongoing legal process and deferred any further comments to law enforcement.
