Mother stabs 3 hospital workers trying to steal her 3-day-old

Kendra Greene, a mother from Florida, has been arrested after allegedly stabbing three employees of a hospital while attempting to steal her 3-day-old child from the neonatal intensive care unit.

According to CBS12, Greene had “violently removed” her daughter from the ventilator and other life-supporting devices, including a breathing apparatus, a central line from her stomach, and a feeding tube.

When hospital personnel tried to stop Greene from leaving, she allegedly pulled out a knife and attacked the three individuals, reportedly saying, “F–k you, bitch,” to the first victim.

Court records reveal that one victim was slashed on their right forearm, one on their right hand, and the third on the side of their neck. Greene then supposedly ran off with the infant in her arms and a kitchen knife in her hand. Police say she abandoned her daughter with a family member before being taken into custody following a vehicle crash.

The newborn was brought back to the hospital in stable condition and the three staff members were treated and discharged the same night. Greene has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and her condition is steadily worsening, according to an arrest report.

She has been charged with two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, one count of aggravated child abuse, battery, and resisting an officer without violence. Greene was booked at the Palm Beach County Jail on a $302,000 bond, and was granted a $300,000 bond and ordered not to have contact with her daughter or the hospital staff after appearing in court on Friday.
