Mass Shooting Outside Nightclub Leaves Ten Injured

A mass shooting occurred outside a nightclub in Queens, New York, on Wednesday night, leaving at least ten people injured, according to local law enforcement. The victims, primarily teenagers, were part of a crowd that had gathered near the Amazura nightclub in Jamaica, Queens, shortly before 11:20 p.m. following a private event.

Four men reportedly opened fire on the crowd, discharging at least 30 rounds. The victims, six females and four males, ranged in age from 16 to 20. They were all transported to local hospitals, including Long Island Jewish Hospital and Cohen Children’s Medical Center.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) held a press conference on Thursday morning, where officials confirmed the details of the incident. They also revealed that they are currently searching for a light-colored sedan believed to be connected to the shooting.

Footage from the scene, posted on the Citizen app, showed a significant response from police and ambulance services. Photos also depicted NYPD investigators marking dozens of pieces of evidence on the street and sidewalk near the nightclub.

The Amazura nightclub, known for its expansive interior that can accommodate up to 4,000 people, regularly hosts DJs and live performances. The club was reportedly hosting a private event on the night of the shooting.

Despite the severity of the incident, none of the victims are in critical condition, and all are expected to survive, according to the NYPD. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and further updates are expected as more information becomes available.
