Mass shooting outside local Trader Joe’s leaves one dead, 3 critically injured

On Saturday, April 1, a devastating shooting took place in West Hills, Los Angeles, resulting in the death of an unidentified 45-year-old man and the critical injury of three others.

According to reports, the incident happened in the parking lot of Trader Joe’s, situated in a shopping center on Fallbrook Avenue and Vanowen Street.

Witnesses heard multiple gunshots and cries for help to dial 911, leading to the assumption of a drive-by shooting. Tiffany Rose, a witness among many, spoke to KABC and said, “We heard multiple gunshots all at once, and I think there was one after, and we heard screaming, and we kind of just ran away because we didn’t want to be a part of it.”

The suspect was eventually apprehended by the Los Angeles Police Department but the individual’s name has not yet been made public. The motive for the shooting is still unknown.
