Man Kills Wife on Her 60th Birthday

A Milwaukee man, Timothy Darnell Lewis, 59, has been accused of fatally shooting his wife, Jacqueline Beason, on her 60th birthday. Lewis, who has been charged with first-degree reckless homicide and use of a weapon, reportedly told investigators that he was “tired” of being yelled at, which led to the tragic incident.

The incident took place last Saturday near a beauty salon in downtown Milwaukee. Court documents reveal that Lewis confessed to pulling out his gun after an argument with his wife and her daughter. He admitted to firing a single shot, which he believed hit Beason in the jaw. Lewis took full responsibility for the act.

Upon arrival at the scene, police found Beason unconscious in her car, leaning towards the passenger side. Despite attempts to revive her through CPR, she was pronounced dead when paramedics arrived. A subsequent medical examination revealed that Beason had been shot in the left cheek, with the bullet exiting from the back of her head.

The victim’s daughter was on a phone call with her mother just moments before the shooting. She overheard an argument during the call, with her mother accusing Lewis of disrespecting her and her daughters. The daughter heard her mother say, “It’s fake,” in response to her question, “He has a gun?” The call ended abruptly after Lewis reportedly said, “There you go.”

The daughter expressed her grief on social media, stating that her life would never be the same. She wrote about the surreal experience of planning her mother’s funeral just 24 hours after celebrating her 60th birthday, describing it as a nightmare.

This tragic incident underscores the devastating impact of domestic violence and the urgent need for increased awareness and support for victims. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing as authorities continue to uncover more details surrounding the circumstances of the incident.
