Man Kills Baby, Wife’s 7-Year-Old and the Boy’s Father

In a tragic incident in Seneca County, Ohio, a man is believed to have orchestrated a deadly attack on his family before taking his own life. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening when 42-year-old Ryan Eagon allegedly shot and killed his wife’s two children and their father, as his wife was preparing to leave him due to ongoing domestic issues.

Eagon’s victims included his 7-month-old child, his wife’s 7-year-old son, and the boy’s father. The Tiffin Police Department reported that Eagon’s wife was in the process of moving out of their shared home when the incident occurred. The local community has been left reeling from the shocking event, with Tiffin Police Chief David Pauly expressing his condolences and urging residents to keep the victims’ families in their thoughts.

According to police reports, Eagon’s wife and the father of her eldest child, 29-year-old Dustin Willey, were packing their belongings, believing Eagon to be out of town. The children were waiting by the car when the couple heard the older child cry out. Upon investigating, they found Eagon in the driveway.

Eagon, armed with a gun, reportedly chased Willey, firing multiple shots at him before turning the weapon on the children. He then shot Willey again before ending his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The mother, who was unharmed but deeply traumatized, called the authorities and brought her lifeless children back into the house.

Emergency services pronounced Eagon and the infant dead at the scene. Willey and the 7-year-old were rushed to local hospitals, but both succumbed to their injuries. A community vigil is planned for Sunday evening at East Green on E. Market Street.

Willey’s former employer, Kelly Gallagher, remembered him as a loving father who would do anything for his son. She described the loss as akin to losing a family member. Autopsies are pending from the Seneca County Coroner’s Office, and the investigation into the tragic incident continues.
