Man fatally stabbed at local Starbucks in front of his wife and toddler

A tragic event happened at a Starbucks store in Vancouver, Canada when Paul Stanley Schmidt, 37, was stabbed by Inderdeep Singh Gosal, 32.

Police were able to apprehend the suspect and charge him with second-degree murder. The motive of the attack remains a mystery, and police are appealing to any witnesses of the incident to come forward to help with the investigation. Court documents have stated that Gosal has no previous criminal record.

Paul’s mother, Kathy, explained that her son was at the Starbucks with his wife and daughter when the attack occurred and stated, “Paul lived for his wife and his daughter, that was his whole life.” She added that the suspect “has ruined so many lives.”

A witness described the scene as a traumatizing experience, while Starbucks spokesperson Leanna Rizzi showed her condolences over the tragedy.

The attack had been captured on video, however, the family has asked for the footage not to be spread around the web.

A GoFundMe page has been established to help the family during this difficult time.
