Diana Arêas, a 39-year-old Brazilian nutritionist and bodybuilding influencer, tragically lost her life after falling from the roof of her apartment building, according to local law enforcement. Arêas, who resided in Campos, north of Rio de Janeiro, was discovered lifeless in the shared area of her residential complex last Thursday, as reported by local media.
Arêas, who had amassed a following of 200,000 on Instagram, was rushed to the hospital earlier that day. Emergency services had been summoned to her apartment where they found her with multiple lacerations. Despite being treated at the hospital, Arêas left without receiving the necessary medical clearance, as per the authorities.
A few hours later, reports emerged that her body had been discovered. The police have yet to release detailed information about the circumstances leading to her death, stating that the investigation is still ongoing.
Arêas was a well-known figure on social media, frequently sharing advice on fitness and nutrition aimed at “transforming bodies and minds,” as per her Instagram bio. Her account is a testament to her dedication to fitness, filled with videos and photos of her workouts and bikini-clad poses.
In addition to her online presence, Arêas was a seasoned competitor in numerous bodybuilding contests, as evidenced by her social media profile. Her final Instagram post, shared just five days before her untimely death, promoted an upcoming summer challenge she was urging her followers to participate in.
The post has since been flooded with heartfelt tributes from her fans. One follower expressed their sorrow, writing, “I’m sorry as we won’t have your genius anymore!”
