The cause of Raechelle’s death remains unknown and is currently being investigated by the New Zealand police. Prior to her untimely death, Raechelle had built a significant following on social media, with over 1.4 million followers on Facebook alone. She was known for her regular posts featuring workout tips, motivational quotes, and images showcasing her fitness journey.

In her last social media post before her death, Raechelle shared a photo from a shoot for Oxygen Magazine’s cover. This was one of more than 14 magazine covers she graced during her career, according to reports. Raechelle also made history in 2011 when she competed in an Olympia bodybuilding event in Las Vegas, becoming the first woman from New Zealand to do so.

The news of Raechelle’s death has left her friends and fans heartbroken. One of her close friends, Keith O’Connell, expressed his grief, stating that her passing had deeply affected him. He remembered Raechelle as one of the kindest and most beautiful souls he had ever met.

Raechelle leaves behind five children, including a pair of twins. She was previously married to Chris Chase for 14 years before they divorced in 2015. Chris was later sentenced to a ten-year prison term for dealing in a drug similar to MDMA.

Following her divorce, Raechelle wrote an article for Stuff, where she detailed her tumultuous post-separation relationship. She urged those in abusive relationships to find the courage to leave, especially for the sake of their children. She assured them that the struggle to escape such a situation would be worth it in the end.
