Fatal Shooting at Oklahoma City Halloween Party Leaves One Dead, Multiple Injured

A fatal shooting occurred at a Halloween party in Oklahoma City early Saturday morning, resulting in one death and multiple injuries. The incident took place at Patty’s Event Center, where an argument between two groups escalated into a violent confrontation around 12:30 a.m.

The dispute began inside the venue before moving outside, where the shooting initially started, according to Sgt. Jon Skuta of the Oklahoma City Police. The involved parties then returned to the event center, where the gunfire continued.

The aftermath of the incident left one male dead and at least 12 others injured. Two of the injured individuals were in critical condition and were rushed to a local hospital for immediate medical attention.

The shooting, which authorities believe involved multiple gunmen using rifles, resulted in a chaotic scene. Police have detained several individuals in connection with the incident, but no official suspect has been named as the investigation continues. As part of their ongoing inquiry, investigators have collected cellphone videos to aid in their evidence gathering.

The number of attendees at the party remains unknown. However, police have assured the public that the shooting was not random and there is no ongoing threat to the community.

Patty’s Event Center, the site of the tragic incident, is situated on the 5800 block of South Agnew Avenue in the southwestern part of Oklahoma City. The venue is approximately 3.5 miles east of Will Rogers World Airport.
