Disturbing Text Messages Spark Fear for Missing Woman

A Texas school employee’s sudden disappearance has raised alarm, following a series of disturbing text messages received by a friend. Jennifer Mendez Olascoaga, who works as a teacher’s assistant at the Dallas Independent School District, was last seen in late September. Her family reported her missing to the Seagoville Police Department this past Sunday.

While filing the police report, Olascoaga’s family was shown a series of unsettling text messages that had been sent to a friend of hers. The friend, who remains unidentified, was the last known person to have been in Olascoaga’s company. The text messages, shared with the family, contained menacing threats and suggested that Olascoaga might never be seen again.

The Seagoville Police Department has confirmed the existence of these text messages, but has not disclosed any specific details about their content. However, a statement released by the department on their Facebook page on Tuesday hinted that the messages suggested foul play could be a factor in Olascoaga’s disappearance.

Marco Barroso, Olascoaga’s brother-in-law, revealed that the text messages were sent from an unknown phone number. The family also reported that Olascoaga’s car was last seen on a surveillance camera at a mobile home park on September 27, where she was dropping off the friend who later received the disturbing messages. The vehicle was discovered the next day in Mesquite, Texas, approximately five miles from the park.

Barroso expressed his suspicion that “someone did something to her,” as Olascoaga’s wallet was found in her car, and she was not the type to leave it behind. Attempts to reach her by phone have been unsuccessful, as her phone has been switched off, which is unusual for her. The investigation into her disappearance is ongoing.
