A Kentucky man, aged 20, identified as Parker Kramer, is currently facing serious charges of rape. The charges stem from an alleged sexual encounter with a 13-year-old girl. Kramer’s arrest followed an incident at a residence in Florence, where he was reportedly discovered in the girl’s bedroom by her father.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about shots fired in the vicinity shortly after midnight on Monday. The call was made by the girl’s father, who had reportedly found an adult man, later identified as Kramer, unclothed on his daughter’s bedroom floor. The father informed Kramer that he was calling the police and left the room to get his handgun. Kramer then made a hasty exit on foot, which led the father to fire three shots into the ground near the front porch of the house.
Upon their arrival, the police discovered Kramer’s unattended vehicle near the scene. The vehicle’s registration allowed them to identify Kramer as the owner. The father was able to confirm Kramer’s identity from his driver’s license photo.
As the search for Kramer escalated, additional officers from the Florence Police Department were called in, and an aerial drone was deployed to assist. Kramer was located by the drone and apprehended at 2:34 a.m., according to the sheriff’s office.
During a subsequent interview with a detective, Kramer allegedly admitted to driving from Louisville to Florence with the intention of meeting the girl for sex. Initially, Kramer was charged with burglary, but the charges were later upgraded to include two counts of rape and one count of sodomy. Kramer is currently being held at the Boone County Jail on a $250,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 5.
