Country Star Sues Model Wife After Social Media Post

Zac Brown, the 45-year-old country music star, has initiated legal action against his estranged wife, 33-year-old model Kelly Yazdi. Brown alleges that Yazdi violated a confidentiality agreement by posting content on her Instagram account that has significantly tarnished his reputation. The court documents, which were made public, reveal that Brown is seeking a temporary restraining order to prevent Yazdi from making any further potentially damaging remarks.

The Grammy-winning artist, known for hits like “Chicken Fried” and “Colder Weather,” is seeking emergency injunctive relief in the form of a temporary restraining order. If granted, this would compel Yazdi to remove the contentious post from her social media account. The court, however, has not yet issued a ruling on the matter.

Prior to the lawsuit, Yazdi had shared a post on Instagram where she was seen walking into a pool. The post was accompanied by a lengthy caption that discussed an abusive relationship, using terms like “projections,” “gaslighting,” “threatening,” and “stonewalling.” The caption, posted on May 4, also mentioned “conditional love” and control disguised as compromise. It remains unclear whether this post was the one that prompted the lawsuit, as the court documents do not specify.

Yazdi, a self-proclaimed adventurer, events producer, SAG-AFTRA actress, stuntwoman, and professional model, has acting credits in shows like “Hawaii Five-0,” “The Beautiful Ones,” and “The Martial Arts Kid.” She and Brown, who leads the Zac Brown Band, got engaged while on vacation in Hawaii in 2022.

The couple married in a private ceremony in Brown’s home state of Georgia in August of the same year. However, they announced their separation just four months later. At the time, they requested privacy and expressed mutual respect for each other. Despite this, there is no public record of a divorce case pending for the couple. Brown’s attorney has stated that he recently filed for divorce.

Before his relationship with Yazdi, Brown was married to jewelry designer Shelly Brown. The couple, who were married for 12 years, share five children: daughters Justice, 16, Lucy, 15, Georgia, 13, and Joni, 12, and son Alexander, 9.
