Grace Kelley, the progeny of renowned country singer Wynonna Judd, found herself in police custody on Friday after an alleged incident of public indecency on a bustling highway. The 27-year-old now faces charges of indecent exposure and obstruction of governmental operations.
Court documents reveal that Kelley allegedly exposed her breasts and lower body at a busy intersection on Interstate 65 and Highway 14 in Millbrook, Alabama. When law enforcement officers attempted to apprehend her, she reportedly refused to provide her identity and sat down on the road, declining to cooperate with the police.
Kelley’s legal history is fraught with issues, beginning in 2016 when she was apprehended for methamphetamine possession. Two years later, in 2018, she breached her probation terms by exiting a court-ordered drug rehabilitation program prematurely, resulting in an eight-year prison sentence. She was granted release in December 2022, only to be arrested again in May 2023 for violating a protective order and parole conditions.
At this juncture, it remains uncertain whether Kelley has secured legal representation. The Millbrook Police Department has yet to respond to requests for comments regarding the incident.
In March 2022, while on temporary leave from jail, Kelley gave birth to her daughter, Kaliyah Chanel. Wynonna Judd, Kelley’s mother, has publicly expressed her delight in raising her granddaughter, referring to the child as a beacon of hope.
In past interviews, Judd has spoken warmly of her relationship with her daughter, noting that Kelley has always been the one to keep her grounded and correct her when necessary.
Kelley’s bail has been set at $1,000, and she has listed her residence as Millbrook, Alabama.
