Woman’s remains found floating along the coastline in 3 suitcases

Police officers were called to the intracoastal waterway near Delray Public Beach after a suitcase with human remains was discovered. After further investigation, two more suitcases with similar contents were found at other locations along the waterway. It is believed that the remains are from a single person, and the Delray Beach detectives have labeled the case a homicide.

The victim is thought to be a female, either white or Hispanic, middle aged, with brown hair and standing at approximately 5 feet, 4 inches tall. It is also reported that she may have had tattooed eyebrows. She was wearing a floral tank top with a black undershirt and black mid-thigh shorts.

Keenan Johnson, a marine dockhand, spoke to WPTV about his shock at the incident. He said he had never seen anything like it in his years of working in the area.

At the moment, information about the case or the victim is limited. The Delray Police Department is asking anyone with information about the crime to contact Detective Mike Liberta at 561-243-7874.
