Woman Murders Son and Carries His Lifeless Body Down Street

A North Carolina mother is facing murder charges following the death of her three-year-old son, after a Harford County Sheriff’s Deputy found her cradling the child’s lifeless body in the street. The deputy, who stumbled upon the distressing scene early last Sunday morning, immediately called for backup.

The toddler, identified as Jason Garcia, was quickly transported to a nearby hospital. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, he was pronounced dead on arrival, as reported by local law enforcement.

Court documents, which were made available to local media outlets, suggest that the mother, 37-year-old Gloria Elena Hughes, was captured on surveillance cameras violently throwing her son onto the ground multiple times.

Adding to the disturbing narrative, the documents also disclosed that the young boy had been admitted to the emergency room the night before his death due to acid ingestion. This revelation has sparked further concerns about the child’s wellbeing under his mother’s care.

In a related development, it was reported that the boy’s father had contacted the North Carolina police regarding a custody dispute on the same day.

Hughes is now facing serious charges, including first-degree murder and child abuse resulting in death. Her legal status remains unclear, as it is yet to be confirmed whether she has entered a plea.

In light of this heartbreaking incident, local authorities are urging the public to stay alert and report any suspected instances of child abuse.
