Woman murders daughter, tells police she killed alien taking her children

Carolyn D. Garrett, a 65-year-old woman from Tennesee, has been arrested for the fatal stabbing of her 50-year-old daughter, Conju Garrett. She allegedly told police she killed an alien trying to take her children.

According to a probable cause affidavit, when authorities apprehended her, she waived her rights and told them of her remarkable allegations. She said voices from the wall told her to kill her daughter, and that she got a knife from the kitchen and started cutting her daughter on the neck and back. She then dragged the body outside and cleaned up the blood in the house with a towel.

When police arrived at the home, they found a blood trail leading from the carport door to the street, where Conju Garrett was lying dead with multiple stab wounds. Carolyn Garrett was taken to Regional One Hospital before being booked and is now being held at the Shelby County Jail on a first-degree murder charge with bail set at $500,000.

Her son, Kenyarda Townsel, 27, told police that his mother had said she killed the devil. She is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
