Woman Missing for 7 Years Found “Screaming and Crying”

A woman who vanished in 2017 was recently discovered and rescued from a motel room in Inkster, Michigan, following a tip-off to the police about her whereabouts. The Michigan State Police acted on the tip received on February 26, which led them to the Evergreen Motel in Inkster.

Upon reaching the motel, the officers heard cries and screams emanating from one of the rooms. This led them to forcefully enter the room and rescue the woman. The woman’s identity remains undisclosed, but it was reported that she was not physically harmed, although she was visibly distressed, as per Michigan State Police Lt. Mike Shaw.

After her rescue, the woman was transported to a nearby hospital in Dearborn, Michigan, for medical attention. She was later reunited with her family. The circumstances that led to her disappearance are still under investigation.

During their search of the motel room, the police found drugs, cell phones, and a firearm. A suspect has been identified in connection with the case, but no arrests have been made yet, according to a spokesperson for the Michigan State Police.

The woman, believed to be in her 30s, reportedly left her family of her own accord in 2017 when she was in her 20s and never returned. The police are now investigating if her disappearance was linked to human trafficking or domestic violence.

The Evergreen Motel has refrained from commenting on the incident. Meanwhile, the authorities are working to uncover what transpired during the period the woman was reported missing.

This case underscores the importance of reporting missing persons and providing information to law enforcement agencies. It also highlights the potential dangers that individuals may face when they disappear without a trace. The Michigan State Police and the individual who provided the crucial tip are credited with the successful rescue of the woman after years of her being missing.

As the investigation progresses, both the authorities and the community are hopeful for a resolution that will shed light on the circumstances that led to the woman’s disappearance in 2017.
