A horrific incident occurred in Fremont when a hail of bullets was unleashed outside a bustling banquet hall, resulting in the death of two individuals and leaving the community in a state of shock. The Royal Palace Banquet Hall was the scene of the crime, where around 100 guests were in attendance for a festive event.
Eyewitnesses recounted a scene of pandemonium as a vehicle pulled up to the parking lot and a barrage of bullets was fired, fatally wounding two people. Despite the swift arrival of emergency services and attempts to administer CPR, both victims ultimately succumbed to their injuries.
The perpetrator fled the scene, sparking a manhunt by local law enforcement. Investigators are currently examining surveillance footage and conducting interviews with witnesses in an effort to reconstruct the night’s events. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
The local community, including patrons of nearby businesses, expressed their shock at the violent incident in what is usually a tranquil neighborhood. Henry Chan, a co-owner of a neighboring acupuncture clinic, commented on the disruption to his business as police carried out their investigation. He expressed his disbelief at the violent incident, stating, “It’s shocking to see something like this happen here.”
The Royal Palace Banquet Hall, which was also the site of a violent incident in 2017 that left one man in a coma, remains closed following the shooting. This history of violence at the venue has raised concerns among the community.
While the nature of the event taking place during the shooting has not been confirmed by the police, several local business owners suggested it was a wedding celebration. The community is now left to deal with the aftermath as the search for the suspect continues.
This incident marks the third and fourth homicides in Fremont this year, raising concerns about safety in the area. The local police department is urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
