María Fernanda Robles, a popular social media influencer and stepdaughter of renowned Mexican singer Luis Ángel, also known as “El Flaco,” tragically drowned in the beach resort of Mazatlan. The 21-year-old was reportedly partying with friends just hours before her untimely demise. Her last Instagram post, a lively bikini picture, was captioned “free and wild.”
Luis Ángel confirmed the devastating news in a statement, expressing his profound grief over the loss of his daughter. He thanked everyone for their supportive messages and love, and requested understanding and respect for his privacy during this difficult time.
According to reports, the incident occurred in the early hours of August 14, when Robles and a few friends decided to take a dip in the sea. It is believed that Robles was under the influence of alcohol at the time. Her friends reportedly discovered her body washed up on the beach and immediately contacted emergency services.
Another friend who was with Robles at the time also encountered difficulties in the water but was fortunately rescued and brought to safety on Cerritos Beach.
Robles, who was pursuing a career in cosmetology, was known for her vibrant travel and party photos on Instagram, where she had amassed over 26,000 followers. She was the biological daughter of Mari Cruz Robles, who had her before meeting Luis Ángel. Despite not being her biological father, Luis Ángel raised Robles as his own and remained a father figure until her tragic death.
Before his separation, Luis Ángel, the former lead singer of the band Los Recoditos, had two other daughters with Mari Cruz Robles, Ángela, 19, and Luis, 13. Los Recoditos, formed in 1989, is a popular band known for modernizing traditional Mexican music for younger audiences.
