Tracy Morgan Suffers Medical Emergency Courtside at NBA Game

Tracy Morgan, a well-known comedian and fervent New York Knicks fan, experienced a medical incident during a game between the Knicks and the Miami Heat on Monday. The incident occurred while Morgan was seated courtside, causing a brief interruption in the game during the third quarter. Morgan was seen in distress and was subsequently escorted from the arena in a wheelchair.

Images and videos shared on social media platforms depicted Morgan appearing unwell at his courtside seat, which was located adjacent to MSG Networks broadcasters Kenny Albert and Walter Clyde Frazier. A fan-captured photo showed a man in a black T-shirt and a black and blue Knicks hat expressing concern for Morgan.

Additional footage circulating on social media showed Morgan being wheeled away, a towel draped over his face, as paramedics and arena staff attended to him. A post on social media suggested that Morgan had been bleeding from his nose and was having difficulty standing.

The incident was also captured on the ESPN broadcast, showing a Knicks towel boy conversing with the referee while attempting to clean up the area. An MSG spokesperson expressed their well-wishes for Morgan, stating, “We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside.”

Josh Hart, a star player for the Knicks, also expressed his concern for Morgan after the Knicks secured a 116-95 victory over Miami. Hart said, “We hope everything is good with Tracy Morgan, avid lifetime Knicks fan, so prayers go out to him and his health and safety.”

Morgan, a regular attendee at the Garden for many years, is considered one of the Knicks’ most dedicated celebrity fans. He has been a fan since his first game in 1981 and has publicly expressed his unwavering support for the team, regardless of their performance.

The cause of Morgan’s medical incident remains unclear. The comedian has faced several health challenges in the past, including diabetes and alcohol-related issues, which led to a kidney transplant in 2010. In 2014, Morgan was involved in a near-fatal accident when a tractor-trailer struck the luxury minibus he was traveling in, resulting in multiple injuries and the loss of his longtime collaborator, Jimmy Mack.
