A tragic incident unfolded in Queens early Friday morning when a 15-year-old boy lost his life while subway surfing, as per police reports. The teenager was reportedly riding atop a southbound 7 train when he fell onto the tracks as the train was pulling into the Queensboro Plaza station around 2:45 a.m.

Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene. A distressing video captured the scene as paramedics rushed the injured teenager out of the subway station on a stretcher. The boy had fallen onto the tracks as the train was entering the Queensboro Plaza station.

The injured teenager was quickly transported to Bellevue Hospital. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, the boy succumbed to his injuries. The hospital pronounced him dead less than an hour after his arrival.

This incident marks a grim start to the Fourth of July weekend and comes on the heels of another subway surfing incident involving a teenager. Just a few weeks prior, another teenage boy was critically injured while subway surfing in the Bronx.
