Teacher Allegedly Caught Raping 13-Year-Old Student by Victim’s Sister

A Bronx-based middle school teacher is facing serious charges after allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old student multiple times in her own home. The accused, William Jones, 32, a seventh-grade math teacher at American Dream Charter School, was indicted in Bronx criminal court. The alleged incidents occurred between April 28 and June 2, according to the Bronx District Attorney’s office.

The alleged sexual assaults took place in the student’s home while her family was away. The series of incidents came to light when the victim’s older sister reportedly walked in on them getting dressed after the last alleged assault.

The victim’s mother discovered explicit text messages, including photos and videos of male genitals, on her daughter’s phone. The phone number was traced back to Jones through the school, leading the mother to report the teacher to the New York Police Department (NYPD).

Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark expressed her disgust at the allegations, highlighting the disturbing nature of the accused’s actions, especially considering his role as an educator. Clark emphasized that the exploitation of young and vulnerable individuals would not be tolerated.

Jones, who has since left his teaching position, is facing a litany of charges. These include eight counts of rape, four counts of sexual misconduct, and five counts of disseminating indecent material to minors. He has been released on bail and is due to appear in court on October 14, as per the district attorney’s office.

Attempts to reach the charter school and Jones’ legal representative for comments were unsuccessful.
