Scientist that worked at Wuhan lab, confirms COVID-19 was a man-made virus

According to a report, a scientist who worked at a controversial Chinese laboratory claims COVID is a man-made virus that escaped.

A virus researcher, Andrew Huff, who worked for a non-profit in New York, said COVID leaked from China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology two-plus years ago, and blamed it on authorities.

It has been the center of fierce debates about the origins of COVID, with both Chinese government officials and lab personnel denying that the virus originated there.

A new book by epidemiologist Huff, “The Truth About Wuhan,” claims that the US government funded Coronaviruses in China that caused the pandemic.

According to him, a leak at Wuhan lab happened because China’s gain-of-function experiments were not properly secured.

“Foreign laboratories did not have the adequate control measures in place for ensuring proper biosafety, biosecurity, and risk management, ultimately resulting in the lab leak at the Wuhan Institute of Virology,” according to his book, which was exclusively excerpted by the paper.

It has become increasingly clear that the virus was leaked from the lab over the past two years.

According to some experts, the virus could have escaped from the facility through an infected scientist or improper waste disposal. The World Health Organization’s Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told a European politician earlier this year that he feared that the virus escaped from the lab in a “catastrophic accident” in 2019.

Previously, Huff served as vice president of EcoHealth Alliance, a non-profit organization that studies infectious diseases. The Wuhan lab has collaborated with the group for over a decade, studying different coronaviruses in bats.

During his tenure at EcoHealth Alliance from 2014 to 2016, Huff helped the Wuhan lab develop the “best existing methods to engineer bat coronaviruses to attack other species.”

“China knew from day one that this was a genetically engineered agent,” wrote Huff. “The US government is to blame for the transfer of dangerous biotechnology to the Chinese.

“I was terrified by what I saw,” said the army veteran from Michigan. “We were just handing them bioweapon technology.”

According to a recent investigation published by ProPublica/Vanity Fair, the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which conducts China’s most risky coronavirus studies, has been under intense pressure from the ruling Chinese Communist Party to create scientific breakthroughs to boost China’s global status despite the lack of resources.
