Murder suspect took road trip with family while victim was in passenger seat covered up

This week, a 41-year-old man from Pennsylvania was arrested on suspicion of killing his 44-year-old employer. Police believe he shot Daryl Vincent Lee with a shotgun while inside a pickup truck, before covering the body with clothes and tools and discarding it on the side of the road after returning from a drive to Maryland with his girlfriend and child. Justin Allen Green was taken into custody and has been charged with one count of homicide and one count of robbery with serious bodily injury.

Green’s girlfriend, Brooke Ashley Pullin, also 30 years old, was arrested and is facing charges of abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence, providing false information to law enforcement, and possession of stolen property. Lee’s body was found on Route 403 in East Wheatfield Township early Friday morning, and the autopsy revealed he had been killed by two gunshot wounds.

Investigations revealed Lee owned and operated his own landscaping and lawn care business, and the day before his body was discovered, he had spoken to someone about doing three jobs with a man named “Bam”, who later turned out to be Green. After finishing the jobs, they were driving to collect payment when Green allegedly shot Lee.

When questioned, Green initially denied knowing anything about Lee’s death, but later confessed to shooting him while they were driving on Franklin Street in Johnstown. He said Lee had died instantly and he had kept the body in the car while they drove to Maryland, with Pullin unaware of the corpse in the vehicle. He also said he had thrown the murder weapon into the Potomac River.

Both Green and Pullin are currently being held in Cambria County Prison. Green has been denied bail while Pullin’s is set at $150,000. They will appear for a preliminary hearing on August 2.
