A homicide investigation is underway in South Los Angeles after a mother discovered a woman’s body, wrapped in plastic, in her son’s bedroom, according to local law enforcement. The mother, who has not been identified, reportedly found the body in the early hours of Sunday morning after noticing a strong gas-like odor emanating from her son’s room.
Upon arrival, officers from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) found a deceased 20-year-old woman, also unidentified, wrapped in plastic. Paramedics on the scene declared the woman dead. The duration of time the woman’s body had been in the room remains uncertain.
The cause of death has not been disclosed, and the identity of the victim is still unknown. The police are currently seeking the woman’s son, a 26-year-old man, who has not been publicly identified.
The horrifying discovery was made in a residential area of South Los Angeles. The LAPD confirmed that they were summoned to a house on the 2200 block of Wall Street in the South-Central region of South LA around 1:15 a.m. on Sunday.
