In a tragic incident, a model is believed to have shot her husband to death before taking her own life in their upscale Florida apartment, leaving his family in deep grief. The 27-year-old model, Sabrina Krasniqi, reportedly fired five bullets at her 34-year-old husband, Pajtim Krasniqi, before shooting herself on the balcony of their luxurious condo at Beach Club II Hallandale in Hallandale Beach, just north of Miami. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, according to various sources.
Hallandale Beach police arrived at the gruesome scene shortly after the gunfire was reported and discovered the lifeless bodies of the couple outside their 45th-floor apartment. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
In a heart-wrenching social media post, Albana Krasniqi Munrett, Pajtim’s sister, expressed her sorrow over the loss of her brother. She wrote about the betrayal her brother faced from the person he trusted the most and the devastation it has caused her family. She also expressed concern about her mother’s ability to recover from the tragedy.
Aerial footage of the police investigation showed what seemed to be bullet holes in a glass door and bloodstains nearby. The bodies were later covered with a yellow tarp. Inside the apartment, a teddy bear, a box of roses with a heart on it, and a television that was still on were visible.
The police were alerted to the incident by ShotSpotter, a gunfire detection program. The system recorded at least five shots fired in quick succession, followed by a brief pause and then a sixth gunshot. A resident living across the street reported hearing screams and gunshots, followed by the arrival of police cars.
Sabrina Krasniqi, also known by her maiden name Sabrina Dzaferovic, was a model who had been featured in a 2021 Inside Edition segment. The segment involved her wearing a mask around Times Square in New York City to see how many men would catcall her.
The incident has also drawn attention in Albania, as the couple were Kosovar Albanian nationals with connections to New York and Peja, Kosovo. The police have classified their deaths as a murder-suicide, but have not yet disclosed what led to the fatal gunfire. The investigation is still ongoing.
