Missing Woman’s Head Pull Out of Mouth of 23-Foot Python

In a shocking event, a 55-year-old Indonesian woman, identified as Wa Siti, was found lifeless inside a 23-foot python. Siti, a grandmother, was known for her love of gardening. She had been attending to her garden when she suddenly vanished, leaving behind her ever-present gardening basket.

Siti’s son, Saimin, grew concerned when he noticed his mother’s abandoned basket. He had always been worried about her safety while she worked in the garden, given the known presence of large snakes in the area. Despite his fears, Siti, a lifelong farmer, was fearless and always had her basket with her.

The search for Siti took a horrifying turn when another son, La Faru, stumbled upon a massive python. The snake had Siti’s upper body lodged in its throat. Rescuers were able to extract her from the python’s grip, but by then it was too late. Siti’s face was covered in a thick layer of slime, and she was pronounced dead at the scene, as confirmed by Indonesian Police Inspector One Hardi.

This incident is not the first of its kind. In October 2022, another grandmother suffered a similar fate. Jahrah, 54, did not return home after a day of work at a plantation. The following day, her husband found a 22-foot python that had swallowed her whole.

Large reptiles, including pythons, are common in Southeast Asia. However, the expansion of modern infrastructure has driven these creatures away from heavily populated areas. In Indonesia, these reptiles can freely roam through villages, which has led to an increased risk of attacks on humans.
