An elderly woman from Washington state, who disappeared under mysterious circumstances, was discovered under a shed in a different town. Marcia Norman, 82, was last seen by her family on April 1 and was reported missing a few days later, as per the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office. Norman was last known to have had dinner with her handyman, Jeffrey Zizz, 47, on the day she disappeared.
Norman resided in Tenino, a city approximately 75 miles southwest of Seattle. When law enforcement officers arrived at her home, the condition of the residence suggested that she had left in a hurry. Zizz, meanwhile, had reportedly left the state of Washington in a friend’s pickup truck. He was later apprehended on April 6 for a prior sentencing violation.
Interestingly, before his departure, Zizz’s neighbors reported that he had constructed a shed on a property in Olympia. This construction was noted the day after Norman was reported missing. On April 9, the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office revealed that detectives had excavated the area under the shed. They discovered human remains “partially encased in concrete.” The remains were identified as Marcia Norman the following day.
Following his arrest in Montana, Zizz was extradited back to Washington to face court proceedings for a child molestation sentencing violation warrant. He is currently being held without bond at the Thurston County Jail on these charges. Meanwhile, Zizz has been named as a person of interest in the investigation into Norman’s disappearance and death.
However, Zizz has not been formally charged in connection with Norman’s disappearance or death. Lieutenant Mike Brooks of the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office stated that Zizz was a familiar figure to Norman’s family. He noted, “He’s not the average handyman to this family. He’s a good family friend, so it doesn’t necessarily seem like having dinner together would be uncommon.”
