McDonald’s Manager Kills His Employee After Dispute

A Georgia man is facing a slew of felony charges after allegedly shooting and killing a coworker in a McDonald’s parking lot over a work-related disagreement. The incident took place on February 19 in Lawrenceville. The accused, 40-year-old Michael Allen Todd, did not resist when officers from the Gwinnett County Police Department arrived at the scene.

The victim, 43-year-old Donald Stewart, was discovered with a gunshot wound and was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. According to a statement released by the police on social media, Todd was Stewart’s supervisor. The shooting was reportedly the result of a disagreement about their job. The police clarified that the argument was not related to McDonald’s, and neither of the men were employees of the fast-food chain. The details of their employment have not been revealed.

The police were notified about the incident around noon on February 19, after receiving a call reporting a shooting at the McDonald’s on Sugarloaf Parkway. Upon their arrival, officers found Stewart with a gunshot wound. He was immediately rushed to a hospital, where he was later declared dead.

Todd, who stayed at the scene, was reportedly cooperative during the police questioning. He was subsequently arrested and charged with several felonies, including malice murder and felony murder. The police have not disclosed the specifics of the argument that led to the shooting, only stating that it was related to the men’s place of employment.

The police have stated that the shooting was an isolated incident and there are no other suspects. Todd is currently being held without bond at the Gwinnett County Jail. His charges include two counts of aggravated assault, one count of malice murder, one count of felony murder, and one count of possession of a firearm during commission.
