FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A 23-year-old man is currently in custody at the Broward County jail in Florida, accused of shooting and killing his former stepfather during the 4th of July weekend. Online records indicate that Darien Massad Turner is being held in connection with the incident.
Authorities discovered the body of Christian Colon, 44, at the residence, where he had suffered fatal gunshot wounds. Police were alerted to the shooting on Saturday morning after receiving a call around 10:50 a.m., according to local news outlet WSVN.
