Man Arrested for Barking Like a Dog at Auto Parts Store

A peculiar incident unfolded in a Georgia auto-parts store when a Florida man was apprehended after reportedly “barking like a dog” for over an hour. The Forsyth Police Department was alerted by the owner of an Advanced Auto Parts store in Forsyth, who reported a white male who had been in the store for an extended period, behaving unusually.

Upon arrival, the police officers confronted the man, later identified as 29-year-old Jonathan Navas. When questioned about his behavior, Navas claimed ignorance, stating he was unaware that his actions were causing any disturbance, according to the police report.

The officers requested identification from Navas, who informed them that his driver’s license was in his vehicle parked outside the store. The police then escorted Navas out of the store to retrieve his identification.

Upon reaching Navas’ car, the officers noticed a clear bag containing syringes on the passenger seat. One of the syringes was filled with a clear substance. This discovery prompted a thorough search of the vehicle, which led to the recovery of another bag. This second bag contained a clear crystal substance, as per the police report.

The officers conducted a field test on the crystal substance, which confirmed it to be methamphetamine. Following this discovery, Navas was taken into custody. Further investigation revealed that there was an outstanding warrant for Navas’ arrest in his home state of Florida. Monroe County dispatchers confirmed the warrant while Navas was in the back of a police car.

When questioned about the substance in the syringe, Navas allegedly claimed it was “blood.” The police confiscated the baggies as evidence and transported Navas to the Monroe County Detention Center. The report concluded with the note that Florida was prepared to extradite Navas.
