Lawyer Kills 2 in Law Firm Before Turning Gun on Himself

A tragic incident unfolded in a Las Vegas law firm on Monday morning when a lawyer allegedly shot and killed his former daughter-in-law and another attorney. The shooting took place during a deposition at the Prince Law Group office, located in the Summerlin area.

According to sources, the shooter was representing his son during the deposition and suddenly opened fire. The other attorney, who was also shot, was representing his wife, the shooter’s former daughter-in-law, and was serving as opposing counsel.

Following the shooting, law enforcement sources reported that the alleged gunman took his own life. His son, who was present during the incident, survived the attack. The shooting has been classified as a targeted and domestic-related incident by authorities.

Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill confirmed in a news conference that the suspect had died by suicide, assuring the public that there was no further threat. The identities of the shooter and the victims have not been released by the police.

However, Robert Eglet, a well-known attorney, disclosed that the deceased attorney was his former law partner. He described the victim as a proficient trial lawyer who specialized in medical malpractice cases. Eglet expressed his shock and sorrow over the tragic event.

The law firm where the shooting took place is situated on the fifth floor of a building on West Charleston Boulevard. Nearby businesses were temporarily evacuated as authorities implemented an active-shooter protocol.

Law enforcement officials are currently investigating the suspect’s vehicle and are working to establish a motive for the shooting. Sheriff McMahill did not disclose any further details about the ongoing investigation.

The law firm involved in the incident has not issued a comment. The nearby Red Rock Casino is being used as a support center by law enforcement.
