Kidnapping Victim Rescued in Dramatic SWAT Raid Arrested in Shocking Twist

In a surprising twist of events, a woman from Texas, who was recently rescued from her alleged kidnapper, found herself behind bars shortly after her ordeal. The San Antonio police had been on a citywide manhunt for Geoffrey Garcia, 35, who was suspected of forcibly abducting his former partner, Destiny Ferdin, 27, and fleeing in his truck.

The authorities managed to locate Garcia at a motel on Thursday morning. A SWAT team was deployed to the scene, where they used flashbangs to apprehend the suspect and rescue Ferdin, who was found unharmed.

However, the relief of Ferdin’s rescue was short-lived. After receiving medical treatment at a local hospital, she was arrested when it was discovered that she was a suspected gang member with six outstanding warrants. Ferdin is now facing multiple charges, including theft, drug possession, and unauthorized use of a vehicle, dating back to 2023.

In a previous incident last year, Ferdin was arrested after she and an 18-year-old suspected gang member were caught driving a stolen Kia Forte past a ceremony for a newly promoted sheriff’s deputy. The officers present at the ceremony pursued and apprehended them.

According to witnesses, Garcia and Ferdin had previously been in a relationship. Garcia allegedly abducted Ferdin from an apartment complex on Wednesday, forcing her into his white pickup truck. This led to a missing-persons alert and an extensive search for Ferdin throughout the night.

Ferdin is now facing a series of charges, including theft of property valued between $100 and $750, two counts of unauthorized use of a vehicle, and three counts of possession of a controlled substance. Meanwhile, Garcia has been charged with kidnapping.
